A teaser for my latest lookbook 🙂
Admit it. A tube of lipstick/gloss is always a guilty pleasure for every girl.
I am nervous and excited about my first ever beauty-make up blog post but let’s get this on.
I’m lucky enough to have Ninez as one of my best friends because apart from having bangs in common, (*wink wink!) our love for lippies kind of brings us closer.
Why don’t you guys click this (thanks nezi for giving this link to me) to know the Chicest, Most Flattering Red Lipsticks for Fall? 🙂
I’ve been saving bucks for MAC’s Venomous Villain Collection. It’s to die for!
So since I’m not actually a trust fund baby, you could only count with your fingers the MAC tubes that I own.
There are still lippies that are nice and affordable like this lip concealer/nude from Etude House. I started using this because my cousin, Nicole introduced it to me.
ME on nude.
I don’t usually wear dark colors unless I go out to party because my typical school look is always with a heavy eyeliner. So I have to keep my lips simple to match my strong eyes or else I’ll look like a stripper in a nursing uniform. HAHA kidding!
My everyday lippie is Maybelline‘s Watershine Pure P24
It’s simple and chic plus I have my Watermelon ‘N Cream Lipsmacker (Vanilla Creams series) as base so I can actually have flavored lips! HAHA
During occasions, I use Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush: Strawberry Fields. It’s color red and lasts really long plus it’s very yummy! 🙂
I have my H&M lipgloss go with it but it already doesn’t really need a base.
Mine’s so overused you can’t actually read it or can barely make out the words HAHA
Lastly, I’m gonna show you my most favorite lipstick.
Lancome’s Color Design All Done Up Cream. It lasts 24 hours and doesn’t even fade even if you’re eating or brushing your teeth! (I swear!).
It looks good with Lancome’s Juicy Tube lipgloss too.
That’s not actually the color so I had to take a picture of my own tube 🙂
So there you go guys! 🙂 I would like to hear your lippie suggestions.
Thanks so much for reading. Comments are highly appreciated! 😉
So I woke up and..
found out that Bianca Gonzales read my blog! and she replied! 😀
I had to read it thrice to actually digest everything HAHA.
So I just stayed at home (like good girls do!) and yes, on a SATURDAY.
But I don’t mind anyway. Today is the day to finally see the outcome of yesterday’s randomness (if you’ve read my previous post you will understand.)
Before I stepped on the shower..
I had to say goodbye to my Bianca G. look haha! 🙂
My post shower look. Mission accomplished? 😉
Thanks to Bench Fix. I really trust you guys!
Also, before I go out to run some errands, I wanna share with you guys what made my day (as if Bianca’s comment was not enough. HAHA)
My Auntie Nancy commended me about my blog.♥ ♥
I love my family! 🙂 and I’m glad I made them proud too. I’m starting to get serious about this whole blogging thing haha.
Okay bye now! Going to the tailor for future surprise 😉
DFTBA! ♥ [Don’t Forget To Be Awesome]
“Like evolution, in nation-building, we come into our own identity. But we never stop trying to improve. We never ‘arrive’. Just move forward.”
It’s Friday and every major event leaves people talking about it for decades, maybe even centuries. EDSA may be one such event. Yep, today, February 25, 2011 is a holiday and every Filipino remembers what has happened decades ago. I wasn’t born during EDSA so I’m not actually one of those who are sentimental today but I try to gather details for the love of my country 😉
After all, geography is not the only requirement to be Filipino. Agree?
So as a free bird on a flyday, I went to Bench Fix Salon to get a haircut. My cousin, Kyle was generous enough to offer himself to go with me. Since I have a wavy hair and I’m actually tired to iron or blow dry it, I made specific instructions to the stylist that I want my idol, Saab Magalona‘s hair. I am taking a break from all the straighteners because I’m still gonna have it bun everyday due to my course. Right now, I just want my waves to fall into place.
This is my idol, blogger queen, Saab Magalona holding her high school picture. This photo came from her blog.
Yep, she used to rebond her hair back then too but now happy with her wavy locks 🙂 isn’t she lovely?
(visit her blog by clicking her name. I have it linked on my blogroll too for easy access)
My hair is straight because they blow dried it. After I shower again we’ll see the outcome! 🙂
So maybe Bianca Gonzalez nalang for today? HAHA
We went to Starbucks after to use the February coupon. If you have the 2011 planner, you should use it too! It expires on the 28th.
Nam nam 🙂 first time to try iced caramel macchiato with jelly. Been loyal to caramel frap ever since!
Bought a couple of stuff too.
Finally!! I got a copy of the first book on The Hunger Games trilogy.
Been dying to read this for quite some time now. I have the UK version of the cover. I can’t wait to start reading this.
So happy that I was productive today 🙂
That’s all for now.
P.S. ANTM Cycle 16’s just started 🙂
This will be quick 😉
I would love to tell you everything about this boy… But then you would fall in love with him too.♥
Okay, if I’m really honest, this, all of this, is just one long love letter that I’m writing to you.
Cinderella walked on broken glass. Sleeping Beauty let a whole lifetime pass. Belle fell in love with a hideous beast. Jasmine married a common thief. Ariel walked on land for love and life. Snow White barely escaped a knife. It was all about blood, sweat, and tears, because love, means facing your biggest fears..
Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment, you never gave up hope.
Fast Facts and love 101 because I’ve been watching the No Strings Attached trailer for the nth time.
..BUT WE START AND END UP WITH FAMILY 🙂
I belong in such a small clan (which consists of my Grandparents, Papalo & Mamala, 2 immediate aunts and my mom plus one uncle and then a total of 8 grand children). We may be few but AN OUNCE OF BLOOD iS STiLL WORTH MORE THAN A POUND OF FRiENDSHiP.
The Cabanlit family picture above is during my Papalo’s 80th birthday last February 5, 2011.
As you can see, the 3rd gen kids are only 5. That’s because the three muskeeters are in Chicago with my Tita Chin fighting through winter.
That’s them 🙂
And you may also notice that among the grandchildren, there are only two girls. That would be me and Nicole 🙂
And when these two came, we couldn’t be any happier! 🙂
First twins in the family, Andre and Adrian. They live in Bradford (London, England) since their parents work there. One thing about them is that they are so lovable (And they hug A LOT!)
THE PRINCESSES AND PRINCES 🙂
And tonight, as they go back to UK, I spent the whole day baby sitting them and became one of the boys.
Pardon my very swollen eyes. I didn’t get much sleep because I was on a pm shift last night 🙂
So we had breakfast at the hotel.. they’re not wearing the same clothes! this is a first 🙂 Andre is wearing stripes while Adrian is wearing gray.
We went back inside the hotel room where I had the sweetest conversations with them plus French lessons! 🙂
Adrian lying on my lap after taking a bath 🙂
More photos 🙂
Finally both are done with shower so we went downstairs to Robinson’s with my aunt and uncle for shopping 🙂 then stayed at Bo’s coffee shop for fraps.
(I’ve always liked their mocha frap than Starbucks’ but then, place doesn’t really matter for me as long as I have my coffee * wink!)
Just before lunch, my cousins and I were at the lobby and I was in awe when we had this conversation. No, not because of their British accent (although I had to ask them to speak slowly so that I could understand haha)..
Andre: Will you miss us?
Me: Of course.
Me: Because we’re cousins and you’re living far away.
Adrian: You can always come to Bradford with us
Me: It’s not that easy. But I will soon.
Andre: Why will you miss me?
Me: I told you already.
Andre: say it again
Me: Because we’re cousins
Andre: and our mummies are sisters.
Me: yep and you will eventually forget me.
Andre: No. I won’t forget you. I have my mind with all the names in it. And your face. I will always remember you. I will miss you too!
And I just hugged them really tight and tried not to get too emotional. These kids are too good to be true! :’)
They are now boarding for Doha and need to ride two more airplanes to be in Bradford.
Bye for now. Dinner is served! 🙂
P.S. Hello to those who have been reading my blog. Hi REYNA JUSAY! 🙂 go check her out! ;))
Je t’aime mes amis
Blog title is quoted from Hans Christian Anderson 🙂

Also, you should listen to “Best Love Song” by Chris Brown and T-Pain 😉
And if you don’t know this girl, you don’t know jack!
Yep, I listen to Nicki Minaj‘s songs everyday but still can’t get enough!
I recommend her Pink Friday album to be included in your iPod.
I don’t know how she does it but this girl is a monster baby!!
If you’re about to sleep like I do, listen to her Dear Old Nicki while you shut your peepers and let the night take you away.
Bonne nuit mes amis.
Tomorrow is a big day! (and it’s the start of my weekend already)
Woke up at 11:11 am today and made the biggest wish 🙂
It’s so nice to start the day right!
Read the first message in the morning ^_^
Found out that my mama already read my first post and her comments are always larger than words :’)
“Ticks” is what she calls me. It’s short for “Tickles” or “Tickling” because I am impossibly skinny despite my appetite 😉
As if my day isn’t getting any better, Myka, yes the aforementioned person in my first post recommended my blog!!!!
She’s not the only person who has included Sugarcoatedscribbles in their blog roll. Apparently, I got the first tweet reply in the morning from my friend I’ve known since we’re in diapers, Phyllis saying she has linked my blog too. All the way from Miami biyatch!! 🙂
I am so, so happy I have the coolest support system. I didn’t expect anyone to notice my blog when it’s not even 24 hours old haha!
So anyway, I am 10 minutes away from my alarm and I’m trying really hard to make this post quick. 5 minutes let’s do this!!
&& I am SO psyched it’s the LAST DAY OF DUTY for third year second semester!
Thanks everyone for even bothering to read this and for visiting my blog.
I’ll keep you on track this time. Bye for now!
Viola! After three years of thinking about keeping a REAL blog, here I am doing my first post for my lifetime commitment 😉
I just came home from my second to the last day of duty for this semester (HOORAY!) and for some reason after shower, the first address I typed was wordpress.com. My friend Myka, who is a very good writer and a certified blogger inspired me to finally take a notch higher and move here. I started blogging since highschool. Being a feature writer and a bookworm, i just needed a place where my thoughts could rest. But believe me,
grenix.blogs.friendster.com and nicaisme.multiply.com should really rest in peace now.
I have Tumblr by the way which is my messy and disorganized blog (but still keeping me awake) and now I’m glad that I won’t be spamming twitter that much because I am welcoming myself back to the non-stop ranting community! 🙂
I live in two worlds. One is a world of books. I am a free bird.
“I’m partly somebody else trying to fit in and say the right things and do the right thing and be in the right place and wear what everybody else is wearing. Sometimes I think we’re all trying to be shadows of each other, trying to buy the same records and everything even if we don’t like them.”
Being a person, I had come to realize, is a communal activity.
“Dogs know how to be dogs. But people do not know how to be people unless and until they learn from other people.”
—John Green (Zombicorns)
Sugarcoatedscribbles will be about random stuff:
- my rants, wants and cants
- songs I listen when words fail
- EVERYTHING. Hey, this is a blog right? 😉
So before saying goodmornight, I’m gonna leave you guys with my mom’s constant reminder. This is by James J. Kilpatrick:
Five common traits of good writers:
(1) They have something to say.
(2) They read widely and have done so since childhood.
(3) They possess what Isaac Asimov calls a ‘capacity for clear thought,’ able to go from point to point in an orderly sequence, an A to Z approach.
(4) They’re geniuses at putting their emotions into words.
(5) They possess an insatiable curiosity, constantly asking Why and How.
Tata For Now. I wouldn’t want to miss the LAST day of duty so I’m resting my peepers before the sun creeps out.
KEEP POSTED! 🙂
