And if you don’t believe LOOK into your heart the beat goes on

I was preparing for the Meg-Surg pretest this morning when I found out that I haven’t got a piece of paper. So I rummaged my bag and found my TFN book, which I had when I was in first year college, it was my very first major subject. We used that book last weekend for our Nursing Research and I forgot that it’s still in my bag. When I flipped it open, I was lucky enough to find four pieces of yellow papers one has scribbles in it. Then I figured out that it contains one of my GENREV notes.

GENREV (Generation Revival) is a group of Christian Teens in Christ that my college besties and I joined when we were neophytes in college ๐Ÿ™‚ It lasted for about a year before my schedule got messed up and GENREV wasn’t in school anymore and one of the preachers got married and moved to Aussie. Also, it is now called ELIM where the adults and teens are fused together. I used to blog every after praise and worship and luckily recovered two posts (click the blog title and it will take you there) from my old blog:

Reading through my notes (and now my old blog) I realized that I have been losing my faith for a couple of months already and I have been in the lowest of low since the semester started. As soon as I finished reading that piece of paper, I couldn’t hold my thoughts I just had to write everything in my planner. Now I’m transferring it here on my blog already.

My planner with my scribblings ๐Ÿ™‚

You see, I’ve been struggling with my 3 major subjects plus Spanish and Phil Hist squeezed in between (and duty). So I can’t actually tell you that I’m having the time of my life now. My social life is dead, my grades aren’t the best, and my block is new.

Just when I thought that I’m owning the problems in the world, there goes twitter flooded with the Tsunami in Japan tweets in the middle of my drama.
Then came the GENREV words inside my head “NO ONE IS EVER OUT OF REACH.”‘ When God answers our questions and the Earth is fighting back, there are no rich or poor. I was scared and wanna go home and just be with my family. I texted my mom, dad, and brother “I love you” right away.

When I got home, I immediately pulled my Bible (which my Auntie Gay had since I don’t know hehe……) out of the shelf and checked Matthew 24:3-4. Go get your bibles or read my previous post so you’ll get goosebumps like I did.

and I was like “we’re gonna party like it’s 2012?”. I was joking. okayyy kidding. I just have to share this with you.
Imagine 3 pots with boiling water set on fire. One pot containing a carrot, the other one egg, and the last one with coffee beans.
Now, think ofย  the fire and boiling water as life’s trials and the carrot, egg and coffee beans representing you.
Will you be a carrot which was hard before but now soft after being boiled?
Or an egg which was formed after being put on a boiling water?
Or maybe.. like the coffee beans that went with the water?
Think of it. This story by the way came from my clinical instructor, Mr. Fervi Kwek during our Psych lecture today. ๐Ÿ™‚

My grandmother told my cousins and I before we went back here in Cebu (after the holidays):
Guys, your life is ahead of you. Whatever decision you make determines who you are and the path that you choose.”
We kind of ignored these words but I can amazingly recall it now.
You decide for your life but God is in control ๐Ÿ™‚
You don’t let others do it for you.

With all of the war and calamities happening, it’s sad that we tend to seek God only when we need Him. The truth hurts and it’s just so sad that all these had to happen for people to remember Him. We always have to start with the basics:

My Autie Gay’s notes at the back of the Bible ๐Ÿ™‚

The world would become a better place. Let’s breathe in love and send good vibes.

Gotta go now! Bea is preparing hot choco with gingco biloba ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s good for the brain!
Keep safe and God bless!
