I found my 10 year-old-Game boy color!
My baby since 4th grade which is supposed to be color purple HAHA
now it’s almost black!

I had it with a pokemon case and a couple of tapes and also the light choo choo in case you’re playing in the dark. My aunt and uncle in Chicago gave it to me when I was 10 years old.

This particular tape right here, Quest  for Camelot (I think there was a movie of this! Oh yes, There is.. 1998!) played a vital role in my childhood haha. Because of this, I was dropped out of our top 15 class and ranked last since 4th grade. I’m not proud of it. Believe me. I lost the chance to enter a great school in High School because I always ranked last and never got the opportunity to take the entrance exam. I played in the comfort room, skipped class, or if I’m not playing, I read Archie Comics without listening to the discussion. My tutor always do my homework. And I’ve hid every report card I had until my parents were summoned to the office. Also, I was sad because I never got picked for the school paper just because I’m not an honor student. Kind of depressing but anyway, good thing I was still in the first section until I graduated elementary 😀

oh, it was only in 6th grade that we (my friends and I) finally got into the finish line of that tape! HAHA it was such a hard game!

More importantly, I have learned my lesson and now that I found my toy which has been part of my childhood, I cannot wait to play and be a kid again!

HAHA. even my light choo choo isn’t purple anymore!

There you guys have it. My little nostalgic post because I found my first love. trololol and if you’re one of the few who has been reading my blog posts, THANK YOU! I’m sending one, big, cyber[[[[[[[[[hug!]]]]]]]]]

October joys

In our family, October’s prolly the busiest month since we have so many relatives celebrating their birthdays. My mom’s included.
Last Oct. 4, it was my cousin Danrae’s birthday who lives now in Chicago. Followed by my mom’s birthday, Oct. 6 which she celebrated here in Cebu with us. By celebration I mean family, home-cooked meals, & stories to tell.

Just us, family and closest friends with delish food and mama’s specialties. This panacotta is one of it 😀

October 7 was my uncle’s birthday who’s in Mindanao. Moving on, yesterday, October 8, was my cousin Kathleen’s birthday 🙂

Other things may change us..

..BUT WE START AND END UP WITH FAMILY 🙂

I belong in such a small clan (which consists of my Grandparents, Papalo & Mamala, 2 immediate aunts and my mom plus one uncle and then a total of 8 grand children). We may be few but AN OUNCE OF BLOOD iS STiLL WORTH MORE THAN A POUND OF FRiENDSHiP.

The Cabanlit family picture above is during my Papalo’s 80th birthday last February 5, 2011.
As you can see, the 3rd gen kids are only 5. That’s because the three muskeeters are in Chicago with my Tita Chin fighting through winter.

That’s them 🙂
And you may also notice that among the grandchildren, there are only two girls. That would be me and Nicole 🙂

And when these two came, we couldn’t be any happier! 🙂
First twins in the family, Andre and Adrian. They live in Bradford (London, England) since their parents work there. One thing about them is that they are so lovable (And they hug A LOT!)

THE PRINCESSES AND PRINCES 🙂

GOOD TIMES.

And tonight, as they go back to UK, I spent the whole day baby sitting them and became one of the boys.
Pardon my very swollen eyes. I didn’t get much sleep because I was on a pm shift last night 🙂
So we had breakfast at the hotel.. they’re not wearing the same clothes! this is a first 🙂 Andre is wearing stripes while Adrian is wearing gray.

We went back inside the hotel room where I had the sweetest conversations with them plus French lessons! 🙂

Adrian lying on my lap after taking a bath 🙂

More photos 🙂

Finally both are done with shower so we went downstairs to Robinson’s with my aunt and uncle for shopping 🙂 then stayed at Bo’s coffee shop for fraps.
(I’ve always liked their mocha frap than Starbucks’ but then, place doesn’t really matter for me as long as I have my coffee * wink!)

Just before lunch, my cousins and I were at the lobby and I was in awe when we had this conversation. No, not because of their British accent (although I had to ask them to speak slowly so that I could understand haha)..

Andre: Will you miss us?

Me: Of course.

Andre: Why?

Me: Because we’re cousins and you’re living far away.

Adrian: You can always come to Bradford with us

Me: It’s not that easy. But I will soon.

Andre: Why will you miss me?

Me: I told you already.

Andre: say it again

Me: Because we’re cousins

Andre: and our mummies are sisters.

Me: yep and you will eventually forget me.

Andre: No. I won’t forget you. I have my mind with all the names in it. And your face. I will always remember you. I will miss you too!

And I just hugged them really tight and tried not to get too emotional. These kids are too good to be true! :’)

They are now boarding for Doha and need to ride two more airplanes to be in Bradford.

I didn’t mind getting no sleep at all. A day spent with family is always a day well spent.

Bye for now. Dinner is served! 🙂

P.S. Hello to those who have been reading my blog. Hi REYNA JUSAY! 🙂 go check her out! ;))
