Young Blood

I am finally back after a month’s hiatus! I apologize for being such an irresponsible, neglecting “blogger” I promise to try my best to make it up to you on this post.

So.. long story short, I was in Cebu for a month to attend some important stuff at the same time “vacationing” for summer. I am just going to summarize the highlighted events of my vacay and I will try to make separate posts of it. For now, I’m just gonna share a couple of photos.

The main reason why I went to Cebu is to process my transcript of records because I am going to transfer to another school to finish my nursing course. Yup! I am finally and fully decided. I need a diploma already to get on with life.

then…….. I was there to attend the hunger games’ premiere 🙂 I was super excited, I’ve spammed my fb and twitter about it for two weeks. HAHA

While I was on the plane, I was surprised to find a magazine that featured THG! HAHA well it was mainly about Jennifer Lawrence and her role as Katniss Everdeen.. but whatever.. still THG related HAHA

the night on that day, we attended the last full show and wore our customized shirts 🙂 On the right is my cousin, Bea and that Team Peeta shirt of hers glowed inside the cinema. She used that special glow in the dark glue for tees. Forgive us, that was the only fan mode day we had. HAHA

We occupied the whole “L” row and we were as usual the noisiest. The people behind us must have been very annoyed HAHAHA We got the best seats because we, well, my awesome cousin Kyle reserved it a month before. 🙂

The next day, I met up with my lovie Essa and a couple of my CDU friends to watch Anne Curtis-Smith’s No Other Concert at Waterfront. I’m sorry I couldn’t give you teaser pics. My brilliant mind forgot to bring my cousin’s DSLR and my point-and-shoot camera has no memory card. Genius, I know. *facepalm* All I had was my cybershot phone and it was no hope.  And that ticket photo isn’t mine either. HAHA grabbed it from Essa’s twitter.
The after party was spent in Alchology with my cousins (sorry!the photos are kind of private :D)

On April Fool’s Day, my cousin had visitors from MNL and we gladly took them for some kilid-kilid shots at Streetlow then to Mountain View.

Those are the only “decent” pics I could find. Everything was either blurred (from playing German game and laughing too much) or too dark (because we couldn’t we figure out the SLR’s freaking flash and we’re having too much fun to experiment)

Then came the Holy Week. My cousins and I had an impromptu decision to go to the beach at 2 in the afternoon. HAHA It was so hot in the house and we were so bored and we just needed some sun, sand, and  the ocean.

We even brought home a pet jelly fish! But it died without even a name 😦 huhu

Biyernes Santo is family day 🙂 Visita Iglesia to seven churches and then lunch at Co Jordan.

We finished the 14 stations of the cross, had seafood for lunch, and the place was just so peaceful. it was a very holy day 🙂

Mid April, I attended my cousin and lovie’s graduation! yaaay! 🙂 Well, I wasn’t actually on the graduation ceremony because it was 7 in the morning and I was still sleeping. Went to their pinning which was held in the afternoon (that’s justifying their gala uniforms haha in case you’re wondering why they aren’t wearing togas)

 That’s the last important event in my summer. My remaining days in Cebu were spent on satisfying cravings, playing scrabble or rummi with family, and then packing – loads of it. Sorted things that are to be shifted back home and stuff that I will include in my new room (yes I’m moving!!)

When I get back on May, it will be a  whole new life. and when I say new, that includes EVERYTHING. Heartaches and heartbreaks left behind, mistakes were laughed at but will not be forgotten, old friends remain but ready to make new ones, and I guess it’s safe to say that I’m closer to where I’m supposed to be than yesterday.

And the hearts all over the world

Hiyaaaa! First of all, I wanna apologize for being so lazy on updating my blog. I’m not even busy HAHA but anyway, FINALLY! here is my waaaaaaaaay long overdue post about Valentine’s Day.

I wanna make this special since I’m doing this on the 1st day of March HAHA (yes, it’s already the start of the 3rd month of the year even with the extra day last February)

I don’t actually anticipate Valentine’s Day. Well, it was fun during high school and it was still during college coz I get to go on different dinner dates with my various group of friends. In high school, it was all about being swoon and having the young love and the first of everything. Since I entered college, I’ve been in a long distance relationship for (almost) 4 years already, Vday became nothing but an ordinary day for me.

So I woke up a bit early because my mom and I went cloth hunting and shopping for my pre-made clothes.

Before I was shot for these photos, I had a total meltdown while putting on make-up.

Le boyf’s sissie arrived and delivered a bouquet of flowers and 3 packs of M&Ms. I was totally lost for words. It’s not the first time he ever surprised me but I wasn’t expecting ANYTHING at all.

Oh you know the cliche,

Flowers will wither within weeks and chocolate will only stay in your mouth for seconds.

 But I felt like I was in high school all over again and I suddenly realized that I am with someone who knows what they have when they have me. Love may be a word used too much and much too soon but love doesn’t come along too often. When it does, only the foolish let it fade.

How many people in a relationship can say that they love their partner even more each day? Cheesy shiz right? But I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m one of the few who can say it.

There is only one happiness in the world. To love and to be loved.

Food and other drugs

Yesterday, May 16, 2011 I was in food coma because 2 of my closest friends (and ex lovers :p) treated me at BIGBY’S.
maybe I’m a joiner (or a third wheel :p) but WHO CARES?????

After eating, as part of my contribution for Monday’s unexpected date, I treated them at Banana Booth which turned out an EPIC FAIL 😥

I wanna thank my lovie, ESSA  CAGAMPANG and my best, JAN VINCE PADAYAO for making my day and for dragging me to BIGBY’S.
And NO, Gluttony is not a sin 😉 hihi

It never gets easier. You just get better :)

Amidst the cuuhhraaaayzeeee life of a nursing student, somewhere in between we find ourselves contented and happy.

Last Monday, we had our Grand Case Presentation (as if proposal hearing wasn’t enough!) about Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Secondary to Ruptured Aneurysm.

Yes! It’s the freakin GCP baby and we aced it! (We’re so done too).

My part was to discuss the drugs Tramadol and Pantoloc.
Everyone did a great job but I miss my section Rawr family 😦
GCP was different back then. But oh well, here are some pics I’m psyched to share with you.

Minnie Muse ♥

Last March 15, 2011 ate Anne and baby Milo Soabas arrived from Vienna and gave my cousins and I goodies. I got this Minnie Mouses divided tee by H&M along with my fave Milka chocolates 🙂

I’ve been seeing a lot of mouse stuff in fashion from Weheartit, Tumblr, lookbook, Polyvore, Fashionlista and o lot more fashion/blog/social sites 🙂
Headbands, rings, tees, the disney character doesn’t seem to grow old. So I made a compilation of looks and on how to mix and match at the same time be stylish with your Minnie/Mickey Mouse garments.

Who’s That Girl: Red Riding Hood..?

Last night, I had a random moment with cousins. Yes, it was a miracle that i decided to stay in on a friday night. I’ve been so stressed with school for the past few weeks and all I wanna do with my free time is to sleep.

So just as when I was under my sheets (as early as 8pm), ate Nikko invited me and my cousin, Bea to watch the Anne-Luis movie “Who’s That Girl” since Giann and Paulo are watching Los Angeles… whatever-title-that-movie-has.

It was SOOOO funny when we arrived at the movie house. First, there was NO Who’s That Girl showing at all so we decided to watch Red Riding Hood (we hesitated because it’s 30% on rotten tomatoes but we aren’t really movie critics so we watched anyway). We were thinking our movie’s gonna be at 10:25 pm not knowing we’re looking at the wrong screen. I couldn’t make out the words and numbers either since I wasn’t wearing glasses or contacts. Good thing we finally figured out that the movie was at 9:25 and it’s gonna be the last full show. We literally ran as fast as our feet could at the same time laughing at our own mistake. HAHA

The movie was okay by the way. I was screaming the whole time although it’s a bit dragging. Okay I’m not spoiling you guys so I aint talking no more :DD (just this one bit: SHILOH FERNANDEZ, the guy who played Peter in the movie was REALLY REALLY smokin HOT. I melted on my seat).

Nothing else special happened to me lately except that next week’s finally our FINALS (our school sucks when it comes to giving students day offs) and on Monday, we’re gonna have our Grand Case Presentation which is why I’m as busy as the Grand Central Station.

Goodbye for now! I have one night to get my much awaited 12hr-sleep 🙂 i can’t wait to be on dreamland I could almost taste it. HAHA!

ADELE 21

I am talking about ADELE. Yes, that girl with the Chasing Pavements song we got all addicted to from the movie Wild Child. And if her name still doesn’t ring a bell, she won a Grammy award for Best New Artist.  So the news is, she’s got a new album and EVERYONE can’t seem to avoid clicking on the repeat button.
If you haven’t listened to it yet, you are SO MISSING a lot.

Embracing Awesomeness!

So I woke up and..

found out that Bianca Gonzales read my blog! and she replied! 😀
I had to read it thrice to actually digest everything HAHA.
So I just stayed at home (like good girls do!) and yes, on a SATURDAY.
But I don’t mind anyway. Today is the day to finally see the outcome of yesterday’s randomness (if you’ve read my previous post you will understand.)

It’s Friday and every major event leaves people talking about it for decades, maybe even centuries. EDSA may be one such event. Yep, today, February 25, 2011 is a holiday and every Filipino remembers what has happened decades ago. I wasn’t born during EDSA so I’m not actually one of those who are sentimental today but I try to gather details for the love of my country 😉
After all, geography is not the only requirement to be Filipino. Agree?

So as a free bird on a flyday, I went to Bench Fix Salon to get a haircut. My cousin, Kyle was generous enough to offer himself to go with me. Since I have a wavy hair and I’m actually tired to iron or blow dry it, I made specific instructions to the stylist that I want my idol, Saab Magalona‘s hair. I am taking a break from all the straighteners because I’m still gonna have it bun everyday due to my course. Right now, I just want my waves to fall into place.

Nam nam 🙂 first time to try iced caramel macchiato with jelly. Been loyal to caramel frap ever since!

Bought a couple of stuff too.

Finally!! I got a copy of the first book on The Hunger Games trilogy.

Been dying to read this for quite some time now. I have the UK version of the cover. I can’t wait to start reading this.

So happy that I was productive today 🙂
